China's First Hydrogen Bomb Successfully Exploded

　　

　　On June 17, 1967, China successfully exploded its first hydrogen bomb in western China. The explosive power is 150 times that of the A-bomb used by the United States in Hiroshima of Japan during the World War II. At the end of 1960, Chinese scientists began to explore the principle of hydrogen bomb while studying the atomic bombs. After the first nuclear test was conducted at Lop Nor on October 16, 1964, China's study on hydrogen bomb was brought into full development. On December 28, 1966, China carried out a test to confirm the design principles of hydrogen bomb. At 7 am on June 17, 1967, China successfully exploded its first hydrogen bomb.
