China Textile Industrial Engineering Institute

　　Founded in 1952, China Textile Industrial Engineering Institute (CTIEI), formerly called the Engineering Institute of Ministry of Textile Industry, is staffed with more than 800 people, including 4 National Design Masters, 360 senior engineers, 220 engineers, 29 Grade 1 registered architects and 44 Grade 1 registered structure engineers. It has more than 20 specialties including petrochemical, chemical fiber, textile, printing & dyeing, architecture, structure, electricity, instrumentation, HVAC, utilities, mechanical, computer, geo-technical, environmental, tech-economical, etc.

　　In the past 50 years, CTIEI completed more than 800 large and medium-sized textile, printing and dyeing mills, chemical fiber plants, petrochemical fiber complexes and civil building projects in 32 provinces including Taiwan, municipalities, autonomous regions and Hong Kong Special Administration Region, and undertook more than 70 overseas projects in 26 countries.

　　Since 1980, CTIEI has won 1 national special award for Best Project Design, 11 national gold prizes and 5 national silver prizes for excellent design and supervision, 43 ministerial-level and provincial-level awards for excellent design and supervision, 9 state-level awards for science and technology advancement, 3 national awards for excellent software for engineering design and 35 ministerial-level and provincial-level awards for science and technology advancements. Since 1993, CTIEI has been evaluated as one of the top 100 powerful supervision and design units. In 1997, it got ISO9001 quality certification.
