It is the first in China to adopt electronic publishing system in map production, and has gained leading position in electronic map production in China. It also has business exchanges with a lot of countries and regions. During the past 40-odd years, it has published more than 8,000 titles of maps, books and periodicals, and the circulation reaches more than 2.6 billion. Its maps account for more than 90% of the openly published maps in China. Many works have been awarded at the national, provincial or ministerial level.
