你知道香港还有‘村’吗？愉快香港行，Loved it HK!

　　为便宜买了斯里兰卡航空的香港经科隆坡到新德里的来回机票。去的时候感觉还可以，时间上不是太过麻烦，候机超过8小时航空公司提供酒店住宿。回来时才知道实在得不偿失。晚上12点起飞，到达科隆坡时是早上3点半。机场坐了3个多小时后起飞去曼谷，然后又是候机，再飞香港，到达时已经下午4点4十五分。整个晚上几乎没有睡觉，累死。Bought return ticket from HK to New Delhi via Colombo as it was the cheapest ticket I could find. The flight from HK to New Delhi was not too bad as there is a wait of over 8 hours before the connecting flight and the airline provided accommodation in a decent hotel. However the returning from New Delhi to HK via Colombo was extremely tiring and a total waste of time and energy. The flight took off at around midnight and reached Colombo at around 3:30 in the morning, sat at the airport for 3 hours before boarding the flight to Bangkok. Reached Bangkok after 3 and half hours and then another one hour wait while stayed on the plane. Arrived in HK at around 4:45pm after a flight of 2 and half hours. Could not get any sleep during the trip and was dead tired!

　　到达香港后电话Wandy，然后乘巴士到达沙田与她会合。Called Wandy from the airport and took the airport bus to Shatin to meet up with her.

　　Wandy住在沙田某村，周围是香港常见的高楼，唯此村居民房屋一般为3，4层的小楼，还是第一次走进香港这样的“村”。可以说，风景这边独好，房顶上可以看到大片的天空，这种空旷感在拥挤的香港是非常难得的。 Wandy lives in a village in Shatin area and it is surrounded by high rise apartment buildings that you see everywhere in HK. Most residents in the village live in 3 or 4 storied houses. It was the first time that I have come into a ‘village’ like this in HK so quite an interesting experience. You see lots of the sky in the rooftop and the view is quite lovely in a sun set evening; have to say this kind of openness and space is a rare luxury in the fully packed city of HK.

　　晚上和Wandy乘车去了西贡。汽车在树木包围的小道上行走，感觉完全不是香港。西贡在海边，到达时海上已升起一轮明月，颇为动人。西贡满是各类市肆和小店，人气很旺，是吃东西的好地方。Took a bus to Sai Kung with Wandy in the evening. The bus drove through a hill road with lots of trees and bushes in both sides that made me feel so not HK. It was full moon over the sea in the beach of Sai Kung when we reached. Sai Kung is quite a happening place especially at night with endless restaurants, shops and people. Great place to catch up for local food.

　　我们在一家小店吃了鱼片艇仔粥，炒蛤和青菜，很满意的清谈的一餐。We had fish fillet congee with squid, fried clam and vegetables; it was light, delicious, and a total satisfaction.

　　The next day we went to Central to meet up with Spicygirl. I had met Spicygirl on the internet but had not met her in real life. It was lovely meeting her and I found she looks much prettier than her photos. Spicygirl is from Shuangliu, a place I also have lived in for a year when I was a kid, and moreover we have both experienced India. All these have brought some extra closeness feelings to us. We walked around Soho and took the famous Mid-level escalator which is said to be the longest escalator in the world. We then decided to take the Peak Tram to the summit of HK as Wandy suggested it is the best place to view the Victoria Harbor. The view is indeed spectacular and beyond words, HK looks absolutely incredibly beautiful from the Peak and I would say anyone who has not seen HK from the Peak has not really seen HK! 第二天搭车去中环与辣妹子见面。与辣妹子网上认识不过没有见过面。我发现她其实比她照片上好看得多。我们同来自双流又都经历了印度所以多了一分亲切感。我们去了苏豪一带和搭乘半山自动楼梯，Wandy建议去太平山顶于是我们乘坐缆车上山。山顶上的风景非常动人，无法用语言形容，我觉得这一景点绝对值得推荐，如果你没有来过山顶，可以说你没有来过香港！

　　We had lunch at Spicygirl’s apartment in Mid-level in Central. Spicygirl’s mum cooked several dishes of great home food within a matter of a few minutes and we had a lovely meal! Also met up with Amy who is from Tangshan and now working as a journalist for a local newspaper. 在辣妹子半山的住所吃了午餐。辣妹子的母亲厨艺高超，一小会儿就做出数道美味家常菜。还见到了来自唐山在某报社工作的Amy。

　　I was so tempted to stay in HK for a little more time and go for a drink with the girls in Lan Kwai Fong, maybe we will get to meet some HK cuties, however I was feeling so tired after the long flight and all the excitement of seeing the places that I have missed out in my many previous trips to HK before. I had to give up LKF but will surely do so next time in HK. 实在想去兰桂芳喝一杯，说不定遭遇香港帅哥也不定，可是感觉太累只好放弃，下次吧！

　　非常感谢Wandy和辣妹子的接待，我的香港之行短暂而愉快！有当地的朋友带路，才能看到一般游客错过的地方，尤其是沙田一带，如果不是Wandy在那儿，也许永远都不会走到那里去，也不会在香港的‘村’里住上一晚！ I am very grateful to Wandy and Spicygirl for their hospitality that has made my short trip to HK so pleasant and memorable. You will need to have localites to show you around so you get to see all the off the beaten track places that are missed out by tourists. I would have never gone to Shatin if it not because of Wandy, and would have never stayed in a village in HK.
