Discovering Laos
　　

　　Day 1,

　　Flight Shanghai (Hong Qiao) – Kunming MU 752 12:50 13:20 Flight Kunming – Vientiane MU 5816 07:55 11:20

　　City Tour :In the afternoon, start to explore some of the main monuments of Vientiane.

　　Vat Sisaket: the only temple left intact after the Siamese invasion in 1828. One of the most beautiful temple of the capital with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues.

　　Continue with Vat Phra Keo, used as a religious museum where are displayed Lao and Khmer works of art and visit the Patuxai monument, also called Anousavari from its roof enjoy a panoramic sight over the city. Finish with the That Luang, the holiest place in Laos and the Vat Simuang, the most popular and venerated temple in Vientiane.

　　Back to the airport for connect flight to Luang Prabang

Day 2,

City Tour: After breakfast, a city tour begins at the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum. Continue to Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its golden bas-reliefs. During Pimai, the lao new year, the Prabang normally housed in the Royal Palace Museum is brought and put on public display in this temple. Then the Wat Sene with its beautiful golden fa%26ccedil;ade. Finish the morning with the visit of the most photographed temple: Wat Xieng Thong.

　　In the afternoon, Wat Visoun, entirely rebuilt after being destroyed in 1887 by the invading Black Flags from southern China. In the courtyard of Wat Visun stands the Watermelon Stupa shaped like the fruit it takes its name from. We will also visit Wat Aham where we can find the altar of the 2 genius of Luang Prabang and then visit of Wat That where the ashes of King Sisavang Vong are interred inside the large central stupa.

　　Continue and climb the 328 steps to Mount Phousi and its panoramic view for sunset. Stop at the evening hill tribe market.

　　Day 3,

　　Breakfast.

　　After breakfast, embark a local boat to visit the Ban Chan, potter village and the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. In Pak Ou, thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues are crammed into the two caves carved out of a towering limestone cliff. They range in size from a few centimetres to the size of a human. Return to Luang Prabang. In the afternoon, free at leisure.

　　After breakfast, free at leisure for explore the town by your own

　　After breakfast, visit a weaving village (Xang Khong) where traditional Lao textiles are woven and where Sa paper is made and the Wat Xieng Lek.

　　Return to town and transfer to the airport for flight to Xieng Khuang (Phonsavanh) .

　　In Xieng Khuang (Phonsavanh), pick you up at the Airport or bus station from Vientiane and transfer to Hotel and sight seeing around the town.

　　Day 6,

　　Breakfast

　　After breakfast, go to see the different size and view for all 3 sites of Mystery Plain of jars. First go to site 1, When arrived on the jar field you will see the biggest one height up to 3.25m, average weighting of the jars about 600kg to 1ton, heaviest one weighs as much as 6 tons. All the jars are scattered on plateau and the hills with some trees, estimated to be 3,000 years old. And then go to site 2 and visit local Village where People making alcohol. Stop for Lunch, after Lunch go to see site 3. On the way back stop to see a old Russian tank as war scrap. Before back to Phonesavanh.

　　(It’s about 1 hour walking from site 2 to site 3 is an option on re quest)

　　Dinner and overnight in Phonsavanh.

　　Day 7,

　　Breakfast

　　After breakfast, excursion to Muang Khoune District (the former capital city of Xiengkhouang Province), to visit Hmong village as a minority and to see old remnant of Buddhist temples built between 16 and 19 century, Stupa and old hospital those only ruins, however, survived the bombing during the war and can be visited. 12:00 Lunch at Muang Khoune by local restaurant.

　　After Lunch, transfer to the airport for flight to Vientiane via Luang Prabang

　　In Vientiane transfer to the hotel, the rest of the day free at leisure.

　　Day 8,

　　Breakfast
　　After breakfast stop at the Talat Sao, the morning market, to look for some souvenirs (silk, silver jewelry, …) before driving to visit Wat Xieng Khuane (Buddha Park) far from Vientiane 27 km. You will find shops and refreshment. In the fifties, a monk has built there several statues and among them the laying down Buddha measuring more than 50m long. By these factures he was willing to unify Buddhism and Hinduism. The monk has built a similar place at Nong Khai in Thailand. Then visit of the Ethnic and Culturel National Park, where you discover Lao houses reproductions with typicals objets of Lao culture return to the hotel
