"The Rich Grassland of Alashan"
Urtin Duu, or the Long Song of the ethnic Mongolians, dated back to 2,000 years ago when the Mongolians were shifting from the hunting life along the Argun River to the nomadic life on the western Mongolia Grasslands. These pastoral songs are a grand ritual form of expression associated with important celebrations and festivities, playing a distinct and honored role within Mongolian society.
