Outstanding and valuable Chengdu lacquer wares displayed at the International
Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival in Chengdu, have attracted great public
attention in the past two days.
Chengdu lacquer, an intangible
cultural heritage masterpiece renowned for its unique gloss and ability to
resist corrosion and aging, can date back to the Spring and Autumn Period (475
BC to 221 BC) and the Warring States Period (221 BC to 207 BC).
To show the public the value of Cheng lacquer as an ICH masterpiece, extremely exquisite lacquer wares have been selected for the exposition, according to a representative from Chengdu Lacquer Ware Manufacture.
