The Forbidden City Treasures of the Chinese Emperors opened in the Kremlin in Moscow, Tuesday, March 27, 2007. The exhibition's opening comes during Chinese President Hu Jintao 's three-day visit to Russia which began on March 26. It is part of the China Year in Russia, a festival of cultural events intended to strengthen already burgeoning ties between the two neighboring countries.
The exhibition will last for about three months. The theme of the exhibition is the emperors's life in the imperial palace--the Forbidden City--dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
