ICH promotion activity kicks off on campus

Thirty-four young performers of the Czech Adolescent Art Troup attended a Guqin art and folk culture exchange activity with their Chinese peers in Dongchenggen Primary School in Chengdu on May 27.

The Czech children first had the opportunity to hear their first Guqin performance, before garnering a standing ovation from the audience after performing folk dances from their own country.

The activity’s organizer said the event was a good opportunity to boost communication between different cultures and to deepen understanding of the conservation of cultural heritage.
