Founded in 1951, Shanxi Vocational College of Arts, the first of its kind in China, is situated in Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi Province which boasts an ancient civilization stretching back 2,500 years.
The college has five major departments including music, dance, fine arts, performance, and TV arts, with more than 20 specialties. A total of 152 professional teachers and more than 2,600 students are now enrolled at the college.
