The Venice Cyber Biennale

　　The arrival of internet era has opened an important page in the cultural history of mankind. This new powerful media also sets up a brand new platform for art exchange and free dialogues. Traditional biennale has some setbacks in terms of organizational structure and geographical dimension which caused insufficient participation in the international arena that greatly diminished the in depth exploration of artistic trend. However, cyber exhibition not only challenges the physical space and regular thinking of traditional exhibition, but it also offers a chance to exploit the new artistic horizon. Thus we believe this cyber biennale enables more people to take part in this latest development of international visual art, subsequently changing the current system of art exhibition. This will be an important trend for future concept art exhibition.

　　This exhibition is co-organized with nonprofit art institutes, academic community and various intellectual observers from all over the world with subtile observation and independent opinions. Exhibition works are transparently collected all by means of internet.

　　
This exhibition will be held simultaneously with VENICE Biennale in 2007. Why we name it as "VENICE Cyber Biennale"is because we want to compare this new form of art exhibition with the traditional biennale so as to widen new horizons and encourage new art spirits.
