Guizhou people charm Moscow

China's southwest province of Guizhou is known for its mountainous terrain and mixed ethnic culture. Usually hidden well inside the mountains, a troupe from the mysterious western land has emerged - heading all the way to Moscow, to charm audiences with their unique songs, dances and costumes.

　　Fifteen-hundred people packed the The Central Theater of Soviet Army in Moscow to watch "Colorful Guizhou". The Han, Miao and Yi people were just some of the performers at the spectacular show. Their dazzling clothes combined with dreamy lights and sets, generating waves of applause from beginning to end. Even more gratifying given it is now the golden season for Russian theatre - audiences with innumerable options choosing this performance over many others.

　　The show is one part of the "Year of China in Russia". Last week, the Anhui culture display was featured at the Grand Stage in St Petersburg.

　　"Colorful Guizhou" has travelled to UK and Malaysia, as well as the Republic of Tataria in Russia, receiving similar accolades.
