Final list of representative ICH inheritors unveiled

After two rounds of appraisal and one-week's online notification, the Ministry of Culture unveiled the final list of the representative Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritors on June 9 in celebration of China's Second Cultural Heritage Day.

　　Selected out of more than 1,000 applicants across the country, the list falls into five categories: folk literature, acrobatics, handicraft, fine arts and traditional medicine.

　　Many long-standing reputed intangible treasures are in the running, such as Wuqiao acrobatics, Shaolin kungfu, Zhang Xiaoquan scissor-making technique, Nanjing yunjin brocade weaving skills, Yangliuqing New Year Painting and Tongrentang TCM Culture.
