Higher learning
Hong Kong has twelve universities that confer academic degrees and prepare their students to participate in the international arena. The faculty of these institutions is hired without regard for race, religion, or cultural background, and teaching methods are entirely in accordance with the international standards. Hong Kong's institutions of higher learning often engage in collaborative research, academic exchange, joint administration, and faculty exchanges with their foreign counterparts.
A number of Hong Kong's universities accept students from the Mainland.
