9. Hong Kong-Shenzhen Western Corridor
The Hong Kong-Shenzhen Western Corridor is the fourth vehicular route to link Hong Kong and the Mainland.
The Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was officially signed in Hong Kong in June 2003. According to the agreement, products manufactured in Hong Kong and exported to the Mainland will be exempt from tariffs, and the Mainland market will be opened to a number of Hong Kong service sectors. CEPA will be instrumental in facilitating investment and trade between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
